Poole Grammar Old Boys Reunion Site....

The 2005 PGS re-union I can't believe that anyone who came to the 2005 re-union could have had anything but a wonderful time. I did nothing towards the event - Danny did it all - and I attended with some trepidation, believing that I would know no-one, or that I would remember some guys but they would not have the foggiest idea who I was. It was all going to be just too embarrassing, and too awful. I came with my laptop, and was ready to go back to my hotel room after half an hour and get on with writing The Personality Shop - a novel about a school re-union (honest!). In fact I struggled to recognise faces (I've always been bad at that) but Danny had given us all name-badges, and the name-recognition hit as I met one old mate after another. It was the most extraordinary feeling. For me it was the first time I had met these friends in 40 years, and the first time I had been in Poole in over 30 years. These pictures are a memento of that evening, and this web site is just a tiny way of saying to Danny, thank you for taking the trouble of doing it all. I loved that night. Danny, I owe you for all that you did. In fact, I think quite a few of us owe you for a really great evening. Tony Attwood PGS 1958-1966 |
